By default 64 bit windows 7 does not allow any digitally unsigned driver to load in memory; this is as per the architecture. Here are the steps to follow in order to have your driver installed and working properly:

1. download netgear WG311v3 driver for windows 7

2. once download is complete; right click the .exe file and under “compatibility” tab select OS “vista SP3″ and “run as administrator”

3. install the driver and in end windows will say plug out the h/w and put it back and restart. click ok but dont take out the wireless card and dont restart.

4.  install ReadyDriverPlus and follow the wizard; if you are not sure about the options then do not change anything and install with default settings. This will enable windows to boot without “signed driver” option. This step is important

5. Restart windows now; you will notice some screens will appear and automatically windows will load with settings “disable the signed driver” option

6. Once windows starts; you wil notice that netgear setup continues; select your geo region and you will see the networks you can connect to.

Sorry for very brief article bur running short of time and want to publish this one before going offline.

By any chance if you have a fixed sized .vdi file and running short of space and want to increase the file size then follow the below steps to achieve the success.

1. Search for “CloneVDI” tool in google and download version 2 or later

2. Start the downloaded application and select the .vdi file you want to expand

3. Do not change the new file name at this time; which you can change later

4. Under section options select the following choices:

• Generate new UUID

• Increase the virtual drive size to: enter the new space size in GB

• Increase the partition size

Click Proceed button; it will take some time to finish

5. Download .ISO file of gparted version 0.8.0

6.Goto virtual box manager -> select the file and click settings

7. Goto storage tab and right click Sata Controller section on right side; select the cloned file created at step 2

8. Now right click IDE Controller section and select the gparted ISO file and click ok

9. Start the selected environment in order to choose and apply the expanded .vdi file. During setup the gpart environment should load itself and if not then make sure  that it is done

10. While gpart loads there will be a screen asking to make a selection related to “keyboard”; dont change anything and just enter and continue

11. Then you will be prompted for default language and i assume that yours english so just press enter and continue

12. You will be prompted to load what mode of gpart to load; again here just press enter and Gpart will finally load

13. Now on top right side of the gpart window you will see a list box containing two partitions; the one with small file size and big file size.

14. Select the partition from the list box that you want to copy and then in the iddle of the screen you will the visual details of the selected partition; right click over the partition and select Copy

15. Now select the new partition and right click in the detail pane and select Paste

16. On the main toolbar select Apply and wait for a while gpart copies the partition to the expanded one

17. Once the operation is completed; right the expanded partition and select Flags options; select “boot” and click ok

18. Close the virtual box environment and before restarting it; goto settings and remove the .ISO from IDE controller and remove the old .vdi file

19. Now restart the environment and windows will run chkdsk and will boot with no issues

20. Goto windows explorer and check the disk space

Two points to recollect:

Firstly, you installed all above on single machine

Secondly, while configuring reporting services via RS configuration manager; the default user that is selected under Service Account is *network service*

And I also had the same above configuration on my machine but I was not able to access Rerporting Services link as I was getting rsServerConfigurationError error

I also went thru a terrible time and pain while looking for a solution and after hitting over 100 links on Google and then i thought to try something new on Central Admin site of SharePoint and i clicked *Add a Report Server to the Integration* link under Reporting Services section which is under Central Administration  -> General Application Settings (2nd last link on left pane)

The page displays information about the server name which was selected while installing MOSS and SQL.

I didn’t change anything and I clicked Ok button and J after a while I found the solution.

In this case Network Service account by default expects the authentication to done as if MOSS is installed on a Farm. Since this is a single machine environment hence you need to change the configuration of reporting services via RS configuration manager.

So open RS config manager and after connecting RS; click on left side *Service Account* and select the 2^nd option *Use another account* and enter the admin user details

The moment you change the setting and click Apply button; then click *Database* on left side and configure the same username details thru the wizard

Stop and Start reporting services and click http://<yourservername>:80/Reports

It should work and I hope above info may have helped you.

Follow below simple steps to find out….

1. open CMD

2. type netsh

3. then type wlan

4. and finally type “show all”

Windows will display all the relevant details for your wireless network

3. Uncheck “Store and Display Recently Opened Items in the Start menu and the taskbar”
